June, July, August, September, October, November


The time when we learn how to live as Christians in the World.  We answer the questions:  "What difference does Christ make in how we think, how we live, and how we treat our neighbors?"


The time when we learn we are not perfect because we are in the church, but that being in the church makes us better.  We are better because faith  gives us a deep sense of the love of God, the grace that God offers us and the call to love our neighbors the way that God loves us.

 

 

Volunteer Opportunities at First

 

Here you will find various volunteer opportunities at First.  Be sure to check back often to see what you might be able to contribute to the growth and on-going mission at First.

 

Remember one of the most important things you can always be a part of at First is to PRAY FOR OUR CONGREGATION.

Service Opportunities:

 

    Help with the Community Lunch on July 24, or 31  (contact Ruth Stanton)

 

    Help with mailing/folding of monthly newsletter (contact church office)

 

 

Maintenance Opportunities:

 

    Help tuck point front steps (an extensive job; David Brownfield will supervise)

 

    Strip out the window in the Undercroft that is leaking water.

 

    On second or third Sunday, take used console TV and old computers to recycle.
