Ordinary Time

June, July, August, September, October, November

The time when we learn how to live as Christians in the World.  We answer the questions:  "What difference does Christ make in how we think, how we live, and how we treat our neighbors?"

The time when we learn we are not perfect because we are in the church, but that being in the church makes us better.  We are better because faith  gives us a deep sense of the love of God, the grace that God offers us and the call to love our neighbors the way that God loves us.

        LUNCH AND PRAISE!

Thanks to all who participated and volunteered

to make this year's VBS so successful!!!

We celebrated and worshiped God with our heads, hands, feet, hearts and souls the week of June 21st at VBS.  We learned about sacrifice, celebration, and salvation.  We heard Bible stories, sang songs, and danced to God.  We painted t-shirts, made flutes, crafted prayer beads and created a community hands wreath. We played games and had fun getting wet.  I’d like to thank all of our volunteers:  Kitchen—Mary Alice and Steve Hensley, Lois Tompkins, Minerva Abbott and Joan Sebastian, Crafts– Nancy Puckett, Harriet Itkoff and Julia Tegge, Group Leaders– Kara Tegge, Julia Tegge, Jessica Tegge, Ruth Stanton, Linda DiBenedetto, and Dolores Harper, Registration– Mary Morris and Ada King, Games—Larry Coombe, Russell Coombe, Maribeth Metzler and Steve Young, Story—Cherie Day and Jamie Fuhrman, Music—Marcia Weygant, Worship—Peggy Garrison, General Help—Nancy Ellington and Pauline Zink and Doorman Frank Martin.

It was a great week with the love of God being shared all around.
